My Academic Year

This year has been the most intensive and exciting of my life. Definitely this experience has two faces: the first one is that you begin a new stage in your academic and future professional life, but the second face is that you must make a big effort to do it. This process involves many aspects, like time, friends, family, books, new classmates, etc, and also the way that you can mix them and make your life. Now I´m going to talk about how has been this process for me, all the obstacles that I had to pass and these final time on mi first year at university.

First of all, I left school on 2007, and the next year, 2008, I prepared the " PSU", so only this year I begin the university. The first day I was so exciting! I knew my classmates and also the whole university, and I loved it!. But, unfortunalety, the next days I began to feel very bad. I was so scared with the university! I used to have other pace of study, not so demanding like this new one. My first three weeks were awfull! I didn´t want to go to the university, I only want to stay in my house. It was a very long abd hard process, but definitely I could get over this with many help. I recieve this help from many people, specially from my lovely family and friends, and I´m very grateful for that. After this period, I began to feel very well!, My fears dissapeared and I started to study with effort and perseverance. I finish the first semester with excelent grades, and I´m completely convinced that when anyone wants to be a better and stronger and also get over all the obstacles, he or she can do it!

The second semester has been the most difficult in my life until now. When I started, I thought that I will be more prepared to bear this semester, but I was absolutely wrong. At first, I was so scared for begin this process again, but also I knew that I had all the support from my family and my friends, so I decided to move forward and study with all my heart and soul. Actually I´m finishing this second semester, and I´m so nervous because I have and really big exam, but I know that If I study, I will pass this year!

Finally, I think that this year has been very adrenalinic and with many nuances. Really this year has had many thing! But definately the most important thing is that I found beautiful people. Also, I´ve learned so much! and that is very important for me. I think that any human been in his life wants to be someone alse, and I really thing I´m getting that! I hope that everyone of you read this blog, specially those that want to get into the University, because they will know that this is not a easy way, the recipe is be a neat person, with everything clear and have a lot of confidence in yourself!
Kisses and Hugs for everyone!

Obstetrics Challenges!

Well, today I think that is an amazing theme to talk about..... my career! specially all the important challenges that I must identify like a future health professional, and obviosly resolve when I finally start working like an obstetrician.
We are now in 2009, and everyone think and say that we are living the age of technology and development in all fields, but definaetly we have big problems. For example in africa the hunger index are very high!, so ..How can we explain that if we are living in the age of technology and development? In my country Chile, there is many kind of problems, specially in health area. If we go into the health problems, and also related with obstetrics, we have a big flaw in themes like technology, social matters, social opportunities and specially in education.
In Chile, the beginning of everything is the bad public education. I think that if the goverment were really interest in the students, we would have not so high rates of teenage pregnancy. These is very dramatic because, how I said before, the are " Teenagers". They are assuming a big responsability that is not adressed to them at that age. If they had had information about all the anticonceptive methods that exsist actually, they wouldn´t have to pass for these before the right time. The education is so important, everyone has the right to recieve good education, so I think that, like a future obstetrician, I will do many programs targeted to schools about sexual education. Now, these programs exsist, but I think that they are inefficient, so for that my programs will be very complete, including in this procces the whole family.

Chile has grown in health technology. I thing that everyday we have more possibilities to get a good health in our country, and not get it in other countries. But, unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity to get it. These is so terrible because everyone has the right to get and excelent healt attention, and in our reality only the people who has money can get it. Like future obstetrician, my main mission is that the public healt have the same privileges as the private health. It´s not fair that for something economic someone has to die!

Well, I hope that you will be agree with me in this themes, an also, that you can be a valuable tool for you country and make something for you and your people!

Money!

Well, today is a very interesting theme to talk about...the money! I really have a special relation with it, because I believe that money is something abstract because is incredible that you can get something with a peace of paper! I don´t know, it´s a bit strange for me. But, for other way any human been can´t live without money! For instance..me. I really need money everyday, for example to get lunch at university, travel in "Transantiago" to everywhere that I need to go, so these kind of activities reflex that you really can´t live witout money.
In my case, I must be honest and say that I´m not so consciencious with money. In general I love to buy clothes, so when I have money, I can`t control myself and I buy it. This is a problem, because when I really need money for something importan, I don`t have! For this situation, I have learned this year and I´m sure that I´m a bit more consciencious about money. :)
When I see that my friends have money troubles, I don´t have any disadvantage to borrow them some money, because I know my friends and I know that when they have money, they will pay me back. That confidence makes that, only when is necessary, I have to borrow money from them, but I pay back soon! :)
I´m a very tidy person, so when I have to manage money, I`m responsable and I really like to do it. When I was in school, three consecutive years I was the money manager, so I don´t have any trouble to administering money.
Any human been has basic needs, like food, water, electricity. If this human been want to get this basic need, he must pay for them! so for that we have bills to pay. In my case, I live with my parents and I don´t work, so I don´t pay basic needs bills, they do that. But... BUT! I have to pay my personal bills like clothes, thinks like chocolates, or something that I eat at university, friend`s gifts, etc.
In general, I think that public and private schools MUST teach children how to use money!, independently if this responsibility relapses into the family. If we want to grow like a nation, we must make conscience about money and teach to everyone that money is something ephemeral! One day you can have everything, but later, you can´t have anything.

A beautiful trip!

Well, today is a free theme, so I´m going to talk about the best trip in my life!
In January, 2007, Me and my school friends traveled to Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. We really spended a good time, an also It was my first trip out of my country, and specially for that reason I remember it so much. We traveled on a bus to Brazil first around 36 hours!, so it was a long an uncomfortable trip. When we arrived to Brazil, we stayed in an hotel called " Carima", and this hotel it´s very big and amazing because It is located in the middle of a forest, and also in the swimming pool somethimes you could find many"royal turkeys".
We stayed in Brazil almost 6 days, and in these 6 days we went to Itaipu Dam ( Located in the border of Brazil and Paraguay), Santa Teresihna beach and the most importat place that we went was the National Park Iguazú Falls. They are waterfalls of the Iguazu River located on the border of the Brazilian state of Paraná and the Argentine province of Misiones. The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu. They are extremelybeautiful, and you can feel in that place that you are connected with the nature. At the final of ouw trip, we went to Paraguay, specially to " Ciudad del Este", a real comercial city, just like "Persa Bio-Bío" in Chile.
The last place that we went was Argentina. We went to Mendoza specially, but I don´t like so much because the weather is very hot! I prefer my country defineatly :D
I hope that if you read my experience travel, you can chear you up and make a travel like this because it`s a experience that you will never forget!
See you Folks!

Tips to visit Santiago de Chile

Well, in general Santiago is a very beautiful city, with many different places to know and visit. Personally, I don´t know my city as I want, but I`ve visited some important chilean places and I think that they are very important If someone of other country would like to visit here and know about my country. First of all, the first important place that I really like is the house of government called " Palacio de la Moneda". It is a very big white building, and it has a lot of history, principally because in 1973 it happened a very important coup d'état, where this building was destroyed. The reconstruction and restoration projects of these builiding were completed on March 11, 1981.
Other important place to visit is the Fine Art Museum. It is located on Forestal park, a very speciall and sometimes bohemian neighborhood. In the Fine Art Museum you can find many artistic expressions like sculptures, paintings, etc.
One of my favorite places to visit is San Cristobal hill. It`s located on Providencia, a big and famouse commune. This hill is very speciall because you can do many kind of thing, for example you can walk, ride bicycle, see a bautifull view, but only on summer because on winter you can see the big pollution of the city.
Here in Chile we have the beautiful Los Andes Mountain range, so for that we have many modern ski resorts like Valle Nevado, El Colorado and Farellones. There you can practice ski, snowboard, etc.
And as I`m a woman, obviously the comercial centers are very important!, but definaetly the cheapest and exclusive place is Patronato! yoy can find many kind of clothes and very cheap! jajajajaja
Well, I hope that all the people that want to visit Santiago de Chile read my blog and follow these tips! =)
See you folks!

MY FAVORITE MUSIC

Hi folks! Well, today I´m going to talk about something that I really love, and that´s music! In my whole life I´ve been listened to many kind of music, like pop, electronic, etc. However, since four years ago I´ve been listened to a very spectacular kind of music, and that´s rock. In general, I like very much chilean and argentinian rock, specially Los Tres and Soda Stereo respectively. Also. I like USA rock, like Crossfade, and now I´m going to talk about them.
When I was in school, one of my friend show me this band, and I like it immediately! I started searching a lot of information about this group, and I realized that there is not many information about them in internet. My friend told me that they are not much known, but in Ares (a search music web site) I could find more music and some pictures of them too. Then, I was looking for the two CD`s of the band, so I went to Feria del Disco (a chilean music store) but they weren´t there. I was really upset, but in that time my uncle traveled to United States, so he brought me the two CD`s. I was very happy for that! Folks, I really recommend you this group. You can search in http://www.myspace.com/crossfade and there is many information about them. Specially I recommend you the song " Cold". It is very strong and funny, so enjoy it!
See you later!

A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

Well, there is a very beautiful country that I would like to visit, and this is Spain. I have an aunt who lives there and she has shown me a lot of pictures of this country and definately it is amazing. Spain has a metropolitan culture that influenced many other parts of the world like Southamerica. For example, Chile was colonized by Spain, so we conserve many customs and traditions of this country, like the language.
Actually Spain is a developed country, so there are many oportunities, especially in the academic area. If I traveled to Spain, I would like to do a postdegree in health because they have the neccesary technology and resources in this area, so I could learn and come back to Chile and show my knowledge. However, it is a very touristic place too, so I would like to spend my vacations there. Also, Spain is located in southwestern Europe on the Iberian Peninsula, so I could travel to other countries that surround Spain like Italy, France, England, etc.
In this moment I`m only a student, but when I start working, I swear that I will join money and became this idea into something real and exciting experience.
